I will bide my time
And wait awhile.
I’ll work hard
And find my style.
My day will come
And I will shine,
And the glory
Will be mine,
Because I was patient
And bided my time.

Is Biding Your Time Good Or Bad

Well, it is sometimes good to realise that we can’t always achieve everything we want straight away in life so it is good to be patient and bide our time. But that doesn’t mean we should stand still and expect things to just happen for us. We must decide what we want to achieve and then work hard to try and achieve our goals and dreams, and do what we need to do to get there.

On the other hand, people sometimes use this expression to mean that they will bide their time to seek revenge on someone or wait for the right opportunity to do something bad to them. See the video clip below…

Very well. I'll bide my time.

Is the following story showing good or bad and why?

In one of Aesop’s Fable there is a story about a crow with a piece of cheese that a hungry fox wants. Does he bide his time? Does he do something else to help him get the cheese?

What Do You Think Of Biding Your Time?

Is it good to wait and be patient for a good reward? Can you write a poem or story on this theme?

  1. Thank you. I have a situation now I am thinking about. Should I wait or not? I need to make up my mind today. You must have ESP to write this article now.
